application range

This chuck type offers an optimum of conditions for precise machining of both shaft and flange typed workpieces.
The design principle of the KFD-HS is to absorb the centrifugal forces occuring during the machining process in order to minimize their influence on the clamping forces.

Due to a special wedge-connection the loss of the clamping force is very low even at high speed.
The screwed connection between chuck body and chuck flange provides a high chuck rigidy.
Direct transmission of the piston force to the jaws in the area of the jaw guides. The axial actuating force is therefore transmitted to the jaws without major friction losses.
